Colour Schemes/Palettes in BI Reports

I created a table this week, the default colours were ugly. This caught me thinking about where I can find good colour schemes to make all the charts or reports look better. Reports with pleasing colours can definitely stand out and easier to understand. I will briefly show how I fixed the colour for the table, and then introduce the resources I found.

The use of colours always reminds me website design. I am not a designer, but I came across tons of websites. The below table gives a feeling of websites in stone age.

I believe that a slightly change on colour could make a big difference. I like lighter colours, so I simply Google “light color palette” and found Mild white color in tone various color all set collection background
